Restaurant Mei Yen is located at Taman Paramount (next to Sea Park) The chef still using charcoal to cook the Hokkien Mee. Hokkien Mee always taste good with the lard but it is abit oily.  The Xiong Thong LaLa is Fresh and mix well the ginger soup.

Found this Fishhead Steamboat which near by the hotel I stayed during my customer visit in Singapore. The teochew style soup is superb savoury and the fish is fresh. As shown in the photo , they still use charcoal for the steamboat. I believe it always make the soup taste better. Most important ! the soup is refillable.
Besides that , the Salted egg pork ribs is Yummy as well.

Delicous Big Tangyuan is filled with chopped peanut or sesame. The ginger soup + coconut sugar is used so the soup color is brownish, It is spicy but yet still taste very good , Tangyuan so soft and tender. The boss is generous enough to fill full the tangyuan. By the way , the dai chou in the same kedai kopi is worth to try also.

Ong Cheng Huat Seafood @ Butterworth Penang

If you are a steam fish lover then you shall  pay a visit to this place. The Ong Chen Huat Steam fish is cooked with rice wine , garlic , chilli padi, pickled vegetables and etc. Those ingredient create a special and tasty gravy that wont easily found elsewhere. The fish here is always fresh and succulent. It is almost boneless so no worry if you bring along your children. Steamed Clams is another delicious dish here , the cooking method same with the steam fish and it works well. I not a octopus lover so the blanced octopus does not attract me much but some do like the chewy and freshness of the octopus. Deep fried spring chicken is another "hot selling" dish here , try it. They do not serve rice but they do serve fried mee and mee hoon. The taste is so so.

The price is rather cheap. Average 20-30 per pax.

A Tokyo Restaurant without Sushi @ Butterworth , Penang

The shop named Tokyo Restaurant but it does not serve sushi ;p This is simple restaurant located at Kampung Benggali , a street famous with alot of electronics shops. Famous dish here is the braised pork knuckle, the pork is so soft and rich in taste. Second "must order" dish here is fried stingray with chili padi and garlic, I never thought that this combination can be so tasty. There is only one chef in this restaurant and all the food is basically home-cook style but simple and nice. My friend was asking the chef that why don't he get an apprentice so that the skill can be pass. He smile and answered that is not easy to get a right one , it take long times to learn. He mentioned the apprentice may need to learn for 2 years only to cook the delicious stir fried prawn. The price is cheap , we pay less than RM70 for all the dish above The herbal chicken soup (not shown in photo above , 八宝鸡) is good as well.

The Hi Tea consist of Nyonya style laksa / asam noodle, Siew mai , Chee Cheong fun , curry puff, Dongpo Pork (this is nyonya food meh), various type of nyonya kueh and etc. Nyonya style laksa and asam noodle is very nice , the broth is fresh and rich in flavor. I prefer the laksa more. Overall food is good and worth to try.

The fish head set lunch of this restaurant is damn Big portion ! Can share with 2 person. A soft shell crab sushi is very big size also and Oishi ! I had ordered ramen but it was not nice , that why it not appear in the photo ;p Even tough the restaurant is located on a hill above the bird park but the price is very reasonable.

潮州炒粥 Chao Zhou Fried Porridge @ Restaurant Bubur Goreng 、Klang

These special Chao Zhou Fried Porridge come with fried pork lard , salted fish and deep fried dough (you zha gui). Simple food with good combination which make it taste perfect !


Steam La La also a another  famous dish here which can compete with Boston 's Lala @Restaurant Boston Baru. The lala is so fresh and clean.

Cantonese style noodle with River Prawn @ RestaurantFoonLock , Bukit Tinggi , Bentong

The Cantonese style noodle with River Prawn (生虾面) is taste good with the fried noodle , I think the chef mix abit of chinese wine which make the sauce taste better. Stir fried crispy pork（干煎华肉）is so crispy , it will be good to have it with beer ;p 

Fortunately , we accept the captain 's advice to order the noodle for 2 person portion as the size is quite big and sufficient for 4 persons. Heard the asam fish (Talapia 金凤鱼) and phoenix ball (凤凰球) are not bad as well, will try it on next visit. 

Remark :  if you want to try the river fish,  Better check for price before order . Normally the price will be "sky high".

耐人寻味滴烧肉 Roasted Pork @ 王美记海南鸡饭 Jalan Nyonya , KL

Had been thinking to try this roasted pork (Siew Yuk) for long time after listened many exaggerate comments from friends (best roasted pork ever la, melt in mouth la , pork is so soft ....) but hardly travel to KL during lunch time. Finally , good a chance to taste it after a meeting in PJ. KL always Jam during lunch , lucky I use Waze and manage to avoid some jam. Arrived the shop around 12 pm ,  to fail to find a proper parking even after turn few rounds . Give up ! --- > double park near by the shop. Walk into the shop and find out alot ppl had been sitting there and only serve with drinks as the roasted pork only start to sell after 1230pm , Lan xi right ? They have roasted chicken and char siew available but I am alone so only order the roasted pork , RM 16 per porrtion ! damn expensive but die die also have to try one time right ? The tauke only come out around 1230 pm and start doing his job . Got my roasted pork as per photo , the taste really different from others , the skin is crunchy , the pork is not so dry and taste a little bit sweet. Worth to try but very expensive. (RM 20.50 for a portion of Siew Yuk + rice + drink )

KL got 黄亚华 , PJ got 新青山亚华. I like Hokkien mee and a good hokkien must be abit juicy (not so dry) , dark , most important is the lard and cooking timing which I can find in this restaurant. Even though they have alot of customer in and out , they still able to keep its quality.

Famous with their Char Siew (BBQ Pork) , not too fat yet soft and good in taste. The portion
is not so big and abit pricey but worth to try if you are Char Siew lover like me. The restaurant do not have sign board and is actually a corner single storey house. Use Waze/foursquare to find the location
